Is College really as risky as people make it out to be?


As an avid social media user I am starting to see a trend in people not wanting to go to college, because of the financial stress it supposedly poses after you finish and the fact that it doesn’t guarantee you a job. These are both essentially true. However, how can one say attending college is more riskier than being reliant on just a high school education to get you by in life. The people who think college is a risk are looking at it the wrong way, their perception of college is when you finish you are supposed to get this six figure job right after graduation, which is very unrealistic. What college does is open up doors for people, you may have what it takes to manage that big company, but without that degree you are basically limiting yourself.
