Louisville is known for Muhammad Ali, Jennifer Lawrence, the University of Louisville athletic program, high school programs, hipster Bardstown Road, the Kentucky Derby and its tasty food scene.
There is no denying that Louisville is known forits eclectic environment that is continuously developing, but, one of my favorite, less popular things about Louisville is all ofitspublic parks.
Iroquois Park, Cherokee Park, Shawnee Park, Joe Creason Park, Tyler Park, Waterfront Parkand Seneca Park are some of the dozens of parks you can find throughout the city of Louisville. Each park has something unique to offer.
Whether it be the massive playgrounds for children, the challenging bike and hiking trails, the dog-friendly environment, outdoor concerts, or the beautiful scenery that draws you to each of these parks, there will always be something for you to do.
