Today at 1:30 a conference was held at the University of Louisville discussing the controversial decision to self-impose a post season ban on its basketball program.
Last October, UofL had been presented with allegations that alleged a former University of Louisville men’s basketball staffer paid to arrange sex for recruits. The book, Breaking Cardinal Rules, has said to contain a detailed journal of what happened.In results of that UofL and it’s team has been under the microscope.
Louisville currently is ranked No.19 in AP poll and 2nd in ACC standings at 18-4. Cardinals have not missed the NCAA tournament since 2006.
Pitino recalls having to tell the team about the decision, “Speaking to the team, and watching my players cry and hug each other . . . pretty difficult.”
