Stop comparing yourself to others. It’s as simple as that. And yet…it’s so hard in practice.
With Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. playing such a huge role in our lives, we often compare our happiness level to those we see online. All this does is make us feel like we are less happy than those around us, which most of the time is not the case.
Most people only post the highlights of their life. They post the good things, the things to brag about. They do this so that other people think they are doing well and enjoying life. No one posts about the fight they had with their s/o or their parents. No one posts about the panic attack they had over all the stuff they have going on. They only post the positives.
