New Albany is booming with new places to eat. Moving up on the list of where to grab a bite to eat, New Albany’s newest restaurant is Gospel Bird. Located at 207 E. Market Street, Gospel Bird serves everything from chicken and waffles, pork chop sandwiches, to brunch. Owner Eric Morris gave the restaurant the unique name because it is “southern slang for the ubiquitous fried chicken served after church”. One of their famous, two of their most popular menu item’s are their fried chicken and collard greens.Although they have Friend Chicken, Morris says they are not a friend chicken place and they “are not doing Nashville Hot Chicken”.  Now serving lunch, Gospel Bird offers Biscuits, essentially mini sandwiches, that would be the perfect option to grab on your break from work or on the weekend.
