Background: Every year, during spring break (well, actually before it officially starts), our team hops on a bus and makes the four hour journey to a magical place called Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The purpose of our trip is to train as much as possible, as well as race other teams at an invitational regatta we host while we’re down there. We train hard every single day, usually with multiple practices in order to squeeze about a month’s worth of practices into ten days. Every day brings something different, but here is what a typical day looks like for a coxswain during spring training.
