I love NY. New York City is just as great as everyone says it is. You feel something magical in the air there, at least I do. However, I feel something even more magical in another beloved city with just a little bit less of a reputation: Chicago.
Chicago is just about a five hour drive from Louisville. This means I’ve been lucky enough to visit numerous times, starting with girl trips with my mom, grandma, sister, and cousins. Now I go with sorority sisters, friends, and of course I still love to go with my mom. I’ve dreamed of moving there one day since the first time I saw the Sears—I mean the Willis—Tower.
The nostalgia I have for Chicago comes from trips to the American Girl Store, Navy Pier, and the Rainforest Cafe as a kid and that may have something to do with my preference for it over NYC. I…
