College Gameday Comes to Louisville


What more could a Cardinals fan ask for? An explosive start to the season has the Cardinals getting national recognition as a possible title contender, not to mention the newly found Heisman frontrunner in Quarterback Lamar Jackson. All of this is coupled with ESPN’s College Gameday coming into town for the very first time for a blockbuster battle with the highly touted No. 2 Florida State Seminoles led  by coach Jimbo Fisher.


This game has the potential to be the biggest game in Louisville football history especially given that this is the first game where a Top 10 showdown in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium has happened since 2006 when No. 5 Louisville defeated No. 3 West Virginia. The hype that already surrounds this game has massive implications and will determine whether or not Louisville can run with the college football’s powerhouses like Florida State which have built a championship pedigree.
