The last few months in the Philippines have been tumultuous to say the least. Roughly 35 thousand people have been extra judicially murdered under the reign of terror imparted by the new president Rodrigo Duterte’s “War on Drugs”.

Yet despite the supposed justification for these killings many of the victims are unrelated to the drug trade. Such as the 4 year old girl who was murdered by police along with her father while they went to go buy popcorn.

Unfortunately not only the police have been killing indiscriminately. President Duterte has called upon all citizens to kill anyone related to drug trade even going so far as to offer medals and cash rewards for the murders. With quotes such as “Do your duty, and if in the process you kill 1,000 persons because you were doing your duty, I will protect you” when talking to police or “If you know…
