The Louisville Cardinals remain undefeated after their stampeding of the Marshall Thundering Herd.
No. 3 Louisville won 59-28 against Marshall University. This has been considered a sandwich game for U of L because it falls between ACC powerhouses Florida State and Clemson on the schedule.
Louisville started off shaky with Marshall holding the Cards to only 7 points in the first quarter. Marshall’s defense came out with heart and determination. Their defense applied enough pressure on QB Lamar Jackson that he only completed 4-11 and threw an interception in the first quarter.
Bobby Petrino’s offense found their rhythm in the second quarter. They finished the first half with the score UL 35 to MU 7.
