I was debating on discussing Solange and her album or not. I just had to talk about it! So Solange dropped an amazing album at the end of September. She dropped an R&B/Soul album, Sol-Angel & the Hadley St. Dreams last year, and it did not get any buzz. Many people thought that she has been gone from the music game for a while, but she actually has not been.

The whole album is amazing but i have a select few to praise:

Mad(feat. Lil Wayne)

This song discusses frustrations with in one. Particularly one who is oppressed. She states, “I ran into this girl, she said, Why you always blaming? Why you can’t just face it? Why you always gotta be so mad?” In the case of Solange being Black, she is referencing to when people say why don’t some Blacks just leave the past in the past. Or…
