The Darker Side of Social Media

Have you ever gotten onto the Cardinal Shuttle and looked around only to realize that 9 out of 10 people on the bus have their faces buried in their cellphones? Or have you been hanging out with a group of your friends and noticed that you are the only one who doesn’t have your phone in hand? If this hasn’t happened to you it is probably because you are one of those people with their faces immersed in their technology. Now I can’t say that I am completely innocent of doing this myself but I do consider myself a little more distanced from social media than the average 21 year old as you can’t find me on Facebook or Twitter or any other major social networking site.
