Close to two weeks have past since sports media juggernaut ESPN announced their initial wave of layoffs. This trimming of the company cost over 100 anchors, reporters, analysts and production staffers their jobs.
With many having a no-competition clause within their contracts that they still have intact with the company, forcing former employees to either wait out the contract or to free-lance.
These announcements came in rapid succession as the more notable names involved took to Twitter to announce their fate with the company.
Some familiar names and some of my personal favorites from the site include longtime NBA insider Marc Stein, college basketball analyst Andy Katz, and”Sportscenter” anchor Jay Crawford.
